The Pasture … it´s something?

So … how should I begin? Well, I can´t make a review out of this game(?), what should I do? I honestly don´t know how I should write about this disturbing, crazy, twisted something. Maybe I can do a new series in which I´ll give my opinion about these smaller, crazier games that could never fill out a whole review … that sounds like a plan! And let´s call it Mini-Reviews, cuz I suck at names, yay!
The Pasture is a game about art. Russian art to be exact. It´s the first art exhibition simulator as it describes itself.
And ye it does that pretty well and it´s clear that it´s made by some very “creative” people.
The whole game is basically a walking simulator, oh no, wait, it´s more like an observing simulator? At the “beginning” of the game you can choose between russian President with an aubergine in his hand or Russian Business women.
Whoever you pick you end up as an observer controlling them with the arrow keys while holding perfectly fitting objects like worms or smartphones in their face, while they will yell russian phrases at you and will bug into you from time to time. And man, there´s one thing that´s really going on my nerves:
If you walk with one of them you have a tiny little bar that will fill up rather fast and will result in an insta-death once it´s full, so you can only move for a fixed amount of time. But since the camera isn´t really the best you have to stop every few steps to rearrange yourself anyways.
Doesn´t sound to “good” right? Ye, it isn´t a good “game” but that isn´t the goal of it, I mean it will take like 20-30min to complete it to 100%.
It´s main goal is to present you russian art, like Babushkas with wooden dicks! But seriously, you´re navigating your person through this art museum or whatever and can collect 20 pieces of art, which will show you their artist, height and all this nice stuff. Additionaly you have tons of pictures etc. that display a slideshow of different visitors seeing these art objects, which adds a creepy but interesting flair.
The Pasture is more of a creepy, surreal and absolutely crazy art exhibition that WILL make you laugh when you see all this for the first time but that´s part of it´s charme. I mean, when you “complete” the game by running into the meeting point, a music very similar to the theme of the anime Sword Art Online will begin to play, I laughed, ye.
Honestly I don´t know what to say about it.
It´s 1 dollar and hey, if you´re interested in russian art and a really “funny” game give it a shot, it´s only 1 buck.
So ye, it´s something, I guess?
